WHO ARE WE & WHEN CAN YOU START COLLECTING YOUR BENEFITS?
Once you choose the Members Benefit Trust Insurance Program or MBT you are eligible for benefits IMMEDIATELY. It is a plan CREATED BY MEMBERS FOR MEMBERS and has been providing Health and Welfare Benefits since 1992 to over 2000 members. The MBT’s mandate to provide the best plan for our members’ dollars.
WHAT DO WE OFFER ?
In addition to HEALTH and DENTAL BENEFITS, members are also offered excellent RRSP INVESTMENT OPTIONS for the contributions made on their behalf by Producers as per the collective agreement.
WHY JOIN THE MBT?
- Every insurance dollar is being put to work for the members.
- Our ONE CLASS DROP PROTECTION ensures that members maintain their Extended Health Benefits even when the member lacks the financial resources to maintain their coverage.
- Members have the OPTION TO BUY UP, so that a member can pay to maintain their prior year’s coverage if they have had a difficult year.
- We also offer SHORT and LONG TERM DISABILITY for those who qualify that will cover you from age 19 to 65. Under certain circumstances the MBT will continue to pay you a disability income while you work!
- The CRITICAL ILLNESS BENEFIT gives a lump sum payment to members who qualify in the case of: heart attacks, stroke, cancer, blindness, Alzheimer’s and many other conditions.
